Student Employment Programs
Working on campus is a great way to gain experience and skills.
Effective January 1, 2020, student workers will be paid $10 per hour!
ECC hires students to work in a variety of offices and departments across the campus, from the admissions office to the arts center to the fitness center. Most student jobs involve 10 to 20 hours of work a week.
There are two types of student employment.
- Federal Work-Study positions are awarded based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA. You must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 to qualify.
- Institutional Work-Study is available to students who are enrolled in at least six credit hours and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. You do not need to be eligible for other forms of federal or state aid to work on campus.
