Adult Basic

The Testing Center at ECC determines which level of classes is right for you in the Adult Basic Education Center. It's important to ensure you're placed in a class that suits your skill level. Both on-campus and remote options are offered.

To take the test for English as a Second Language (ESL) or the State of Illinois High School Diploma (HSE/GED) programs, you'll need an ECC student ID number and a valid email address. If you don't have an ECC ID number yet, you must complete this form, and someone from the staff will contact you. If you need to reset your password, we can help with that, too!
