Black History Month 2024

Elgin Community College celebrates Black History Month through the 2024 theme of African Americans and the Arts with in-person events. Join ECC this year in honoring BHM with peer and employee networking and critical conversations through formal discussions, creative outlets, and community gatherings.

“I am excited to recognize the diverse and indelible contributions of African American art and culture during this year’s Black History Month celebration,” said Erik Enders, student life coordinator for student equity. “This is an important opportunity for our entire campus community to learn, remember, and appreciate how Black culture has helped shape American culture.”
