In light of the rising COVID-19 infection rates and the state of Illinois’ guidance that infections are expected to peak state-wide on January 18, ECC will delay the start of classes until Monday, January 24. Classes were originally scheduled to begin on January 18.

The January 24 start date is in effect for online, in-person, and hybrid classes. Current ECC students should check their student email for further details regarding the spring semester.

ECC’s campus remains open and all offices and services are available. Wearing masks in all campus buildings is required. Mask dispensers and self-check stations are located at the Buildings A, H, O, M, and K entrances. The state’s vaccination or proof of a weekly negative COVID-19 test mandate remains in effect. Details of the mandate can be reviewed on the State of Illinois Website.

Student Services will continue to offer virtual and in-person services. Students are encouraged to take advantage of remote or virtual services wherever possible. The library is currently available only to current students until further notice.
