The Elgin Community College Foundation invites the community to celebrate the achievements of students, faculty, and staff at the ECC Foundation Gala: Dare to Dream event, presented by OTTO, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The gala will be an in-person celebration at the Q Center in St. Charles, with an option to attend virtually at 7 p.m.

“ECC and our exceptional community has so much to be proud of and to celebrate – and that’s what our annual Gala is all about,” said David Davin, executive director of Institutional Advancement and the ECC Foundation. “It’s also a night to raise funds to support our hardworking students and ensure the future vitality of our region. We look forward to seeing everyone interested in helping our students build a bright future for themselves and our community join us there!”

The 2022 honorees include ECC Friend of Education – Tom Roeser, Exceptional Friend of the ECC Foundation – Jeanne Sigman, Distinguished Alumni of the Year – Kayla Chase, PhD, ’06, Esteemed Recent Alumni – Jacob Arndt, ’13, and the Lasting Impact Award Winners – John Duffy ECC Trustee, and JPMorgan Chase, represented by Leslie Maloney.

Organized by the Elgin Community College Foundation, proceeds from the event go directly towards the Resources for Excellence Fund, which supports the areas of greatest student need, including emergency assistance and scholarship awards. Event co-chairs for the 2022 Gala are Robin Seigle, secretary of the ECC Foundation Board, and Linda Hefferin, EdD, ECC retiree, and professor emerita.

Tickets for the in-person event will include the ECC student showcase, a live auction, and dinner for a special early-bird price of $100 through Friday, September 2. For those wishing to participate virtually, tickets are $25 per household to view the event stream live. Tickets can be purchased at the ECC Foundation Gala page on the website.
