ECC Students attend Commencement Ceremony

Elgin Community College will hold two virtual commencement ceremonies for the fall 2021 graduating class on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021. Both ceremonies will stream at youtube.com/ElginSpartans. Students are assigned to the graduation ceremony based on the credential(s) earned.

At 10 a.m., the Career and Technical programs ceremony (associate of applied science degrees, vocational specialist certificates, and basic vocational specialist certificates) will premiere, featuring student speaker Michael LoPresti of Bartlett.

At 2 p.m., the University Transfer ceremony (associate in arts, associate in science, associate in fine arts-visual art emphasis, associate in fine arts-music performance emphasis, associate in engineering science, and associate in liberal studies) will stream, featuring student speaker Bailee Winchell of Algonquin.

ECC President David Sam, Ph.D., JD, LLM, will deliver the commencement address for both ceremonies. Chair of the Board of Trustees, Jennifer Rakow, will also provide remarks during the ceremonies. Timothy Kaar, MFA, professor of graphic design and 2021 Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member award winner will provide faculty remarks.
