Elgin Community College’s College Transitions Department will be holding a College and Career Readiness (CCR) workshop tomorrow and during the spring semester. Trainings are free and open to anyone interested. District 509 students, parents, and guardians are encouraged to participate. The trainings cover career and college readiness topics that ranges from SAT Prep to resume writing and interviewing skills.

“The purpose of these events are to provide our community with free, easily-accessible, professionally-led trainings regarding college and career readiness,” said Marisela Morales, new student readiness coordinator at ECC.

College Readiness staff will be available to assist high school students as they transition into either college or the workforce through these trainings and/or referrals to service providers in the community. Staff members will also be available to assist students on a one-to-one basis to address questions and concerns, either directly or through referrals.

The College and Career Readiness Training session offered tomorrow will be virtual via zoom. Starting next year, trainings will be provided both in-person and virtual. For a list of the upcoming trainings and how to register, visit College & Career Readiness Events - Elgin Community College (ECC).
