Fall Registration 2020

Fall Registration 2020

Registration for fall credit classes is underway at Elgin Community College and will continue until the semester starts on August 24. College staff are ready and available to help new students through the application and enrollment process. Students are advised to register as soon as possible to get the best selection of courses and times.

As previously announced, in response to the uncertainty of many variables associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, ECC has converted the majority of face-to-face courses for the fall 2020 semester to online courses. Some classes will be asynchronous with no live instruction or scheduled meeting times. Other classes will be synchronous, where students will have some live, scheduled online interaction with instructors. Specialized lab courses, where the face-to-face component is essential, will be offered on campus but may also include online learning.

The fall 2020 course schedule, which indicates the course delivery method, can be viewed on the Credit Classes page. Current students may register online via AccessECC. A limited number of in-person appointments with the Registration Office are available by calling 847-214-7393.

ECC’s dedicated faculty and staff are committed to students’ success, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to pursue their educational goals. The college offers more than 130 degree and certificate options in popular areas of study such as business and professional services; digital technologies; health professions; education and human services; liberal, visual and performing arts; emergency services and public safety; technical education; and university transfer.

Adults who have no college credit, as well as those who have some credit but no degree, can move ahead at ECC to increase their earnings potential in a current field or to transition into a new career by completing a degree or certificate program. Some certificates can be earned in as little as one semester. Interested adults should contact the Admissions Office at 847-214-7385.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is available to help students navigate the financial aid process. In addition, the ECC Foundation offers more than 200 student scholarships, worth thousands of dollars, based on financial need, career areas of study and academic and leadership excellence.

ECC is committed to delivering a high-quality academic experience for all students enrolled in online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. For additional information, contact the ECC Admissions Office at 847-214-7385 or admissions@elgin.edu.
