What does this mean?
To reintegrate critical employees and a limited number of students onto the physical campus for essential functions and classes that cannot be carried out remotely. The primary focus is implementing recommended physical distancing measures, procuring and installing additional personal protective equipment to ensure staff and students' safety.
Specific measures have been put into place to protect the entire college community's health and safety as we work together to limit the spread of COVID-19. All students, employees, vendors, and necessary visitors on campus must wear a face covering and stay six feet apart. Do not come to campus if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, coughing, or difficulty breathing.
Cleaning Protocols & Personal Hygiene
- Sanitizer stations have been installed throughout campus.
- On-campus ventilation and cleaning protocols have been enhanced.
- Follow proper hygiene such as hand washing and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Face Coverings & Face Masks
- Temperature checks will be mandatory upon entry (date to be determined).
- Face coverings are required for all and will be provided as needed. Failure to wear a face-covering or mask will result in being asked to leave campus.
- Employees work in zones to maintain social distancing using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Social & Physical Distancing
- All work and classroom areas have been reviewed and modified to ensure proper physical distancing.
- Social distancing is in effect; you will find floor markers throughout campus.
- Protective barriers, such as Plexiglas, have been installed in high traffic areas.
- Physically distance yourself from anyone you do not live with, especially vulnerable friends and family.
Students can access our services remotely and on-campus. See the operations page for hours and locations, including phone numbers, email, and links to make an appointment with each department.

Meetings, Events & Visitors
- ECC facilities are not open to the general public, although limited on-campus appointments are available. Hours are published on the RemoteHub.
- To limit exposure of COVID-19 through social distancing, ECC is limiting large gatherings during the spring semester.
Reporting to Campus
- Classes start on January 19, 2021, and we continue to prioritize the health and safety of all.
- As always, if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, coughing, or difficulty breathing, do not come to campus.
